A few words from head coach, Roly Pratt:
“Great day today ladies. Yet again today we won the rucking battle by a significant margin. That allowed us much more possession of the ball and we scored some outstanding try’s. We scored through forward scrums and ruck and rumble. Backs running into space. Combined team offloading, and of course some individual brilliance. Killer bagged four more scores and Kara, Maya and Abe got a brace each. Any of these ladies are worthy of woman of the match honors.
We came up against a plucky Georgetown team that never gave up and didn’t allow us to impose our game plan on them for most of the day. It’s a testament to you ladies that we can now win a game by 60 points when we didn’t really play as good as can. It’s a pretty good feeling as a coach when you top your group with maximum points, and know that your team has still so much more left in the tank. We have yet to play our best game and I feel sorry for the team that runs into it.
Next week we welcome GW. I have a feeling some rookie forwards will be making their first starts. Learn everything you can from your new bigs. That’s what they are there for, not just candy and glow sticks…..”
Woman of the Match: Our rookie fly half kicker extraordinaire, Shannon. It’s hard to believe that she only has a couple of hours of rugby under her belt. She ran the line and kicked 5 conversions, one was from the corner flag. Superb.
