Meet AUWRFC’s New Head Coach

AU Women’s Rugby is proud to announce that the new head coach for the 2013-2014 school year will be Krysi Hermes.  As an AU alumna, Krysi is no stranger to the team.  She played rugby at AU from Fall 2005 to Spring 2010.  She started helping out with coaching the following spring and has been an assistant coach ever since.  AUWRFC is excited to have a head coach with such a long history of dedication to the team.  Here’s what Krysi has to say about what she’s looking forward to this season:

“This season I’m most looking forward to helping develop our core of returning players. Of course new players are something to look forward to as well – seeing them fall in love with rugby is one of my favorite parts of coaching. But I am most excited about helping the returning players get to the next level. I want to help the upperclassmen see the big picture on the field and lead their teammates. For the underclassmen, they’re all so excited I just want to throw a lot of coaching and playing time at them so they start to have those ‘lightbulb’ moments where they really start to understand the game fully.”
